How will it be achieved?
The framework maintenance work "e-CF in action" is one of four current projects being conducted by CEN/ISSS, under their CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) process.
A European expert working group has been established comprising representatives from the ICT Industry (both vendors and users), social partners, national ICT framework stakeholders, as well as ICT higher education, qualification and research.
The expert working group incorporates six CEN nominated experts (Grant agreement for an action BC/CEN/ENTR/000/2008-29, funded by the European Commission, DG Enterprise and Industry) and further interested and experienced representatives from European ICT stakeholders and Industry.
The updated framework is planned to be published as a CEN Workshop Agreement in autumn 2010.
The European e-Competence Framework development is supported by the European Commission and the Council of Ministers (Commission's Communication of 07.09.2007 and Competitiveness Council Conclusions of 23.11.2007 on e-skills).
